On the Monday, December 21 episode of The Young and the Restless, Victor was delighted to inform Cole that he had decided to endorse Cole and Victoria’s relationship. Since obviously, his grown daughter and the father of their equally grown daughter would never go against Victor’s wishes, Victor can only imagine how overjoyed Cole is to receive Victor’s blessing. But what if his reasons for being so generous are less about brightening Cole’s otherwise dull and dreary life and more about what’s best for Victor?
Omniscient One
Jordan (Colleen Zenk) and Ian (Ray Wise) think they’ve pulled off their switch-a-roo without a hitch. Jordan is strolling around on the outside, wearing silly disguises and railroading Sharon (Sharon Case) into a murder conviction, while a lookalike terminally ill patient took her role in prison.
It’s a foolproof plan! But Victor (Eric Braeden) is nobody’s fool…Victor sees all, hears all, and knows all. Which means he knows what Jordan has done. But he is biding his time, playing his cards close to the vest, waiting for just the right moment to expose what he knows.

Death Trap
Cole (J. Eddie Peck) may have thought that Victor has finally come around. Victoria (Amelia Heinle) may believe that her father has finally accepted that she can make her own romantic decisions (insert ironic laugh here). Claire (Hayley Erin) may be delighted that her Mommy and Daddy have received permission from Grandpa to reunite.
But Grandpa is always multiple moves ahead of everybody. He’s a chess player, you know. He’s the best!
Lure Cure
By telling Victoria and Cole that he now approves of their reunion, Victor has basically made it clear that they must remarry—immediately! Before Victor changes his mind!
And Victor knows that Jordan wouldn’t be able to stay away from a ceremony that reunites the family she worked so hard to destroy. And then Victor will trap her. And then Victor will win as usual.
