This is an exciting time to join the MMO as we play our part, in line with our vision for ‘A prosperous future for our seas, coasts and communities’, in delivering the new government’s mission with a focus on growth, net zero, and protecting and enhancing of the marine environment. That includes the MMO’s Strategic Goal to ‘to manage a responsive and widely owned English marine planning framework.’
The Marine Planning Team (MPT) sits within the MMO’s Marine Development (Domestic and International) Directorate, alongside Strategic Renewables Unit, Marine Licensing Team, and the Global Team.
The MMO service that the MPT contribute to most directly is “Enabling sustainable marine development”.
The role will provide management within the MPT, lead on areas of delivery linked to one or more of the team’s goals, be part of the Directorate Senior Leadership team, and contribute to relevant wider MMO activities.
The Marine Planning Team mission is ‘To ensure marine planning, which makes sure the right activities happen in the right place, at the right time, and in the right way, delivers the MMO’s Vision, Mission, & Strategy’. To achieve our mission, we will…
