General Hospital’s Lulu is finally awake and all is right with the world. Family and friends are rejoicing but is this version of Luke and Laura’s daughter too much for some Port Charles residents?
Sleeping Beauty
Lulu (Alexa Havins) has finally woken up after four long years in a coma. Laura (Genie Francis) and Lucky (Jonathan Jackson) couldn’t be happier. Her son Rocco (Finn Carr) is thrilled, and so is her ex Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), although he is a little weirded out that his fiance Sam (Kelly Monaco) died saving her.
MORE: Here’s how Lucky broke major news to Lulu.
Lulu is happy to be back in the land of the living. The one small issue is that her daughter Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) is on the run with her dad Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). Lulu is livid and wants her daughter back.
The Latest Chapter
When Julie Berman played Lulu from 2005-2013, she was a Spencer through and through. She had Luke’s (Anthony Geary—who needs to return to GH ASAP) sense of adventure and stubbornness. She was also lovable and had a great romantic storyline with Dante, just like her parents. When Emme Rylan took over the role in 2013, she became a kinder, gentler Lulu.
The newest version of the Spencer daughter is back with a vengeance. She came out of her coma and began wreaking havoc almost immediately.
The Anger Tour
Lulu wants Charlotte back, and she wants it now. Who can blame her? No one wants to wake up after four years and find their daughter missing.
But Lulu doesn’t realize that life has changed while she was asleep. Nina (Cynthia Watros) no longer keeps tabs on Valentin, but Lulu has no problem barging into the Crimson editor’s office demanding answers and calling Nina a liar. She did the same to Jack (Charles Mesure), which might not be the best way to get him to help her. She also automatically picked a fight with Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), not knowing how her old enemy has changed, and now happily married and besties with Maxie (Kirsten Storms).
But new Lulu did have a fabulous reunion with Tracy (Jane Elliott). Who didn’t smile when she called her stepmonster? What’s your opinion? Is this Lulu new and improved, or just too much? Let us know in the comments.
