Days of our Lives spoilers for Thursday, December 26, promise a celebration for many…but not all. Marlena wants to get into the spirit of the season, but the news of John is ruining her day.
Miss Match
Marlena (Deidre Hall) has children and grandchildren she could be spending the holiday with, but she’s feeling blue, no matter how hard she tries to ignore it. Marlena confesses to Brady (Eric Martsolf) that she is really tired of waiting for John (Drake Hogysten) to finish up his top-secret mission and come home to her.
Brady is sympathetic and assures his stepmother that he’s sure she’ll see her beloved husband soon. We, alas, are less optimistic. There is tragedy coming for Marlena…and for all of us.

Help, I Need Somebody
Ava (Tamara Braun) is not exactly a shrinking violet. This ex-mafia princess knows how to take care of herself, whether it involves blackmail or straight-up murder. When Ava thought Kristen (Stacy Haiduk) was the one texting her threats to keep Ava away from Brady, she wasn’t concerned.
Ava knows she can take on Kristen. But if Kristen isn’t the only one behind those cryptic messages, then Ava would like to know who is. So that she can feel confident she can take them down, too. So Ava turns to Steve (Stephen Nichols) and his sleuthing skills to suss out her mystery nemesis. After all, she tried to ruin his life, sure. But they also have a son together. So Steve owes it to Ava to keep her safe. Right?
Away in the Manger
It’s not just Christmas. It’s also Lani (Sal Stowers) and Eli’s (Lamon Archey) twins’ birthdays! And you know Grandma Paulina (Jackée Harry) will go all out. Let the merriment begin! It’s never too early to spoil Salem citizens. And if Eli and Lani decide to stick around, this could be the twins’ daily life!
