AMC Alum Sam Page Reveals His Quirky Christmas Tradition—It’s Not What You Think

Soaphub daily updates

Here's what Sam Page is up to these days.

Christmas Con was held the weekend of December 13th-15th and Soap Hub was there to cover all of the action! Check back daily during Christmas week for new content from your favorite soap stars and actors from Hallmark and Great American Family Channel. We caught up with All My Children alum Sam Page, who portrayed Trey on the soap, to hear all about his Christmas traditions.

Merry and Bright

Bryan: How are you enjoying your first Christmas Con?

Sam: It’s fantastic. Everybody is in a good mood and excited and having a great time. I haven’t done many other conventions, but I know those can get people jockeying to get everybody’s autographs and stuff like that, but this one, everybody’s really chill, really happy.

Bryan: Have you got a chance to catch up with former cast mate, Cameron Mathison (Ryan)?

Sam: Yeah. We rode in the van on the way here from the hotel today and chatted. It was great to see him!

Bryan: Have you had any soap fans come up to you today and say they have been fans since you were on AMC?

Sam: Yeah! There have been some people who have said, ‘I’ve been watching you since AMC,’ so we kind of started a relationship with fans that also cross over into the Hallmark world, so it’s pretty great.

Bryan: Do you have any holiday traditions?

Sam: We watch a horror movie on on Christmas Eve. My sisters and I started doing it, and my wife jumped in when we got married. She loves it too, so it’s very nice. I can’t explain it, and I don’t know where it came from.

Bryan: Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?

Sam: Well, I just had surgery on my ankle. It had been a couple years of various injuries, and something finally snapped in there, literally. So I got that fixed, and it’s to go diligently through the rehab for the physio and get it back to the way it was 4 years ago. God willing.

Bryan: What’s the recovery time for that?

Sam: It’s 2 weeks in this boot, and then it’s going to be like 6 to 8 weeks of physical therapy, then I’ll be dancing The Nutcracker Suite! [laughs]

If you want to attend Christmas Con 2025, tickets will go on sale on January 3, 2025. A huge thank you to Thats4Entertainment and The Procko Group for their partnership in bringing the stars to you!
